This review is for John (not Logan as listed below). The receptionist Abby was friendly and made an appointment to come out within a few hours of the phone call. The Tech/repairman John was friendly and inspected the problem. He made suggestions on everything that was needed to replace my broken spring as well as pointed out other potential problems which raised the price significantly. I chose just enough to fix the current problem but appreciate the suggestions. I will have to update a few things in the near future. As he explained, they aren’t the cheapest nor the most expensive. I feel like once you have someone there shopping around isn’t really an option, especially after paying for the service call which is waived if you use them. Overall a good experience.

Hi. I am happy the new opener is working fine. John was very knowledgeable and left the place tidy. I am not happy. I emailed back requesting a warranty statement for the OPENER that was installed (not a door warranty). Still waiting for it. Nor did I receive a warranty from the Genie box. Also, they didn't offer to leave the broken Genie opener/sprocket so I might ask for a partial refund. Thirdly, though I have a very heavy garage door and the previous 3/4 HP opener which prematurely broke, he didn't suggest a 1 HP opener but just decided to install another 3/4 HP without my decision. Once again, Pedro to the rescue! He Arrived promptly at 8am, looked for what might have been a malfunctioning opener, tightened up a sensor & then was off to his next appt- always w friendly greeting & reassurance that Precision stands by their work & will respond quickly to customer requests- which I’ve found so true thru the yrs of using them.

My experience with Precision Garage Door Service exceeded my expectations. The customer service was quick and helpful. They were able to schedule the repair the very same day. Jon Topping arrived on time (early in fact) and quickly diagnosed the problem. He was able to repair right away. Knowledgable, professional and quick. I hope I won't need them in awhile, but when I do, they will be my first and last call.

I'm retired Navy propulsion engineering I get how things work just didn't have time to mess with this. Garage door had a mind of its own open 12 inch's and then would open all the way but then wouldn't close. I Made a appointment on the computer and I would only be charged $89 inspection fee. No problem had it set up for Saturday 10-12. They called back said that time slot didn't work so we finally agreed on Sunday. Tech came out who admitted he works on doors and springs and wasn't to familiar with the electronic side. Said we needed a new motor and gave me three different quotes. $700, $900 and one that was over a $1000 dollars. So I asked him if we could just pay the inspection fee and be done. I wasn't going to invest that much when a new one cost $179 at the big box stores. So of coarse he gives my wife the bill of 137 dollars there was a $15 gas fee. Not sure where that come up from. Wife said he needed to figure it out. We ended up paying the $89 and gave home $20 for lunch. Wasn't impressed sorry.

His performance and customer service is one to none. Would highly recommend to request him if your time is important and need a professional garage door replacement. James arrived within 2 hours of my call on a Friday evening on 12/2. He told me that he had diagnosed the issue and said the springs needed to be replaced and the liftmaster 8500W was not powerful enough to lift the door. As my partner was traveling, I agreed to the services. The garage door opener that they sold to me and installed had half the rated lifting power of the 7-month-old Liftmaster, and the springs had recently been replaced and probably just needed tightening. In fairness, for $2,500 they did complete what they recommended, just most of it was not needed. Clearly took advantage of a mother being home alone on a Friday night.

Our garage door stopped working last night (Friday). I found them on google this morning and decided to go with them (because they are the closest to our house). The technician, Jose arrived about two hours after my call. He was knowledgeable and patient to explain the issue of our garage door. He spent about an hour to get it fixed. Overall, the experience is good except the cost. Precision is definitely on the (very) high end. To replace our Garage Door Spring Set (materials plus labor), we paid more than $900. We would likely find another company providing the same service for less than half of this price if I had done my home work....

I am a handyman in SD, I had a problem with programming a second garage remote and Josh from Precision took the time to walk me thru step by step and repeating patiently multiple time, when it did not work he checked to see if any techs were in my area, since no one was around I went to him and he attempted to program only to find out my off brand remote would not work, he was able to find a matching remote around the office and now I have 2 working remotes, he did not need to do anything he could have just said schedule a service call but he went above and beyond knowing I was in a bind, so if you need honest garage door service and you are in SD I highly recommend them.

If you want the BEST experience from beginning to end look no further than Precision Garage Door Service in San Diego. Mark knew what I wanted from the beginning! He gave us reasonable pricing at WELL below our other quotes. We got two new garage doors and two new openers. Ben installed the first garage door opener and was friendly, quick, and fun! Not to be outdone our other garage door opener and doors were installed by the awesome Rick and Ariel! They were friendly, cleaned the area, moved what they needed to, and put it all back. They took amazing before/after photos - who could ask for anything more! 5 amazing stars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Our garage door motor called it quits on us! We called these guys, and within 2 hours or even less, Alfredo was here with a fully stocked truck! He replaced the unit, added a new key pad, a new track and sensors. The new unit is AWESOME!! And it's nice and quiet! So quiet that our dogs won't even know when we get home! Alfredo was super nice and did an amazing job! He even cleaned up after he completed the job! Service like this is so appreciated!!! Thank you for the quick response!! Wish I could give more than 5 stars!!!

Really appreciated the really nice and knowledgeable technician. He did a great job and it was a real pleasure having someone like him fix the issue. We had a home warranty service that we canceled because of the poor quality of the service providers. Our experience proved that to be a correct decision. Nice, honest, great workmanship. I can't even say enough about Josh! He said service was the number one priority and he showed that was true.
