Mark Davidson, field manager, came to our home to look at an existing garage door that was not keeping the heat out. We thought we needed a new door since heat was entering through the windows on the existing door. Mark suggested we keep the door but add window tint to keep the heat out. Hopefully, this will take care of the problem. Mark was very personable and professional. If we do decide to get a new door, he will get a call!

First, this is my second door/motor from precision. The first one, 14 years ago, was so banged up from kids/bikes/cars that it really wasn’t fixable. Estimate person came quickly and was knowledgeable abt the need. Long wait for door to come in but looks very nice. I would recommend Precision. Now for the cons: Less than a year old, started making cracking sound. Same day technician came and adjusted the rail which he said was bent. A couple of weeks later started making same sound only worse. Second technician came quickly and said house settling putting stress on rail said unfixable. When questioned he said he’d try. Said fixed. We’ll see…

The good: Jon was respectful and experienced. Arrived early. He replaced the broken torsion springs in less than 20 minutes. The not so great: Their pricing strategy trying to get you pay as much as possible. My quote start out almost $900 for replacing the torsion springs. They try to justify their pricing by giving you 5 years of warranty, or lifetime warranty if you pay close to $2000. Then it was reduced to $586.99 when I said I will shop around. I find these kind of pricing strategy dishonest and very manipulative. Had to call their office to get the invoice sent, because it was never sent on their end after I made the payment in the morning. On the invoice I received, it stated only 1 year warranty for parts and labor, which was not what was communicated to me in the beginning. I would not recommend this company to my family and friends. Always shop around if you don't want to get ripped off.

Precision Door techs, installers and estimators offer good, better, best estimates to all customers, this helps you as the consumer to have many options to choose from that best fit the situation. These options will be offered with different levels of warranty coverage. In this case the estimate that was chosen is offered with a one-year warranty, parts and labor. We have updated your invoice to reflect a five-year warranty parts and labor. I hope that this helps. I apologize if there was any mis-communication onsite. My garage door spring broke on a Saturday. I made an appointment online and a tech came out and fixed it on Sunday! The tech, Ariel, showed up on schedule, was professional, knowledgeable and easy to talk to. The repair took about an hour and it works great! I've used Precision in the past and will use them again. Highly recommend them if you are looking for quality service and a company that stands behind their warranty at a reasonable price.
