I was very pleased with the service person. He is extremely pleasant and competent. All though the phone agent was very courteous and quoted a $79.95 service call with a 21 point inspection I was surprised that the invoice included another $79.95 Charge for lubrication, etc. of those 21 points of the inspection. I do think that Precision is less than honest about the "Service call price Quote". That quote means the service rep arrives and looks at the problem for $79.95. If he does anything to the "21 point inspection", like lube or general maintenance, that is another $79.95. Turns out that means the charge for the service call is 2 times the quoted charge ($159.90). Then, of course, there is the charge for any repairs needed. What I call deceptive marketing.

It was not Bruce who came, but James Myer. There was some confusion when I received a pre-arrival call,I said Bruce?, heard Roger, then we lost contact. Then I received an email stating that James was on his way. James finally arrived, was very friendly, gave us a description of what needed to be done, not the springs, but the wire or cable on the wheels at the ends of the top of the garage door. James was very professional, very congenial and did a good job. Since we are both senior citizens and I am a retired Naval Officer, he included the 10% discount. So far we are very satisfied and I would contact Precision again for service if needed!

I told David the door was slightly louder than when it was first installed. He did not think it was loud but suggested I lube it with a silicone spray. He then took the spray I had”Booster” and began spraying the spring and the hardware. He also told me there were upgraded wheels that fit in track available for purchase. I would have liked to have know this at time of installation as I would have most likely purchased them. I completed spraying the entire door as instructed. The sounds have not gone away however. The sound is not super loud, simply louder than when the doors were first installed. I guess the cheap wheels are the problem. David did a fine job, but there is no difference in the sound even after his visit. Wish someone had informed me there are better wheels available BEFORE the door was installed. I am disappointed that this was not disclosed to me.
