BAIT and SWITCH! Beware. Our garage door spring broke and I called these guys on Friday afternoon. I explained the problem and asked how much would it cost me to get it fixed. The lady on the phone said anywhere from $174.95-$324.95. So, I went ahead and scheduled the appointment for the next day. Technician arrived on time and was polite. Tried to upsell other things, which I declined. He gave me a quote of $1146. At that point I was already on a hook for a service charge and didnt want to argue with him because it’s not his fault is employer is dishonest. I sent them as email asking for a final price for everything included (labor and parts), and got the same range again I was told on a phone. So they lie on a phone and they lie via email - because in person the cost is 3x or you owe them the service charge. Ok be looking into reporting them to the contractor board.

I had a situation where I had manually open my roll up garage door on a Friday night and was then unable to close it. The next morning I requested Precision to repair my door. They responded immediately and schedule a technician for 2:00 pm. Logan reached out to me and then showed up at 2:00. He then proceeded to review the work needed and explained to me what needs to be done and what it would cost. A couple hours later he was done and all is good. I highly recommend Precision.

I called Precision Garage Door of San Diego for what I thought would be a simple check-up and regular maintenance. I was quoted $89, which seemed reasonable. The technician showed up right on time and was friendly, but that’s where the positives end. Almost immediately, he began pointing out reasons why I supposedly needed everything replaced—springs, motor, sensors, remotes, button—you name it. It quickly turned into one of the most aggressive upsell experiences I’ve ever seen. Then came the fees. The initial $89.95 “service fee” was simply for showing up. I’m impressed with the process of insuring time of meeting. Over phone I was told there is a service quote opening same day between 12:00 and 4:00 and that the technician would call to give a heads-up of 1/2 hour prior to arrival. This is huge to me knowing when a technician is going to show up. It wastes nobody’s time! The technician was straight forward diagnosing the damage and provided options in tier pricing. The work was done in approximately one hour and a half. I’ll be recommending this outfit.
