Hollis and his team went above and beyond with the install of our garage door. During the initial installation, Hollis noticed that the bottom panel had been manufactured incorrectly (there was apparently some warping, which I couldn’t see until he pointed it out to me). He scheduled a follow-up and got a new piece installed as soon as it was made. For both visits, Hollis gave me a courtesy call with a 20-30 minute heads up of his arrival (extremely helpful for planning my day), and was very friendly and respectful during all of my encounters. He worked efficiently and left us with an amazing new door that runs so smoothly and quietly! Thank you, Hollis!

Had to replace the motor on my garage door opener. Eric was my tech & I cannot say enough good things about him. He was early, very professional & courteous & didn’t try to pressure me. He also helped me to re-program my two vehicles to recognize the new opener. This is the second time I have had to use Precision (first time just needed a tune up). Eric was my tech then as well. Both times he was pleasant, professional & courteous. I will definitely use Precision & ask for Eric again. Before writing my review I gave the chance to the company in two emails to answer my concerns but instead they indicated it was "miscommunication" and offered me a 15 % discount which was not the case and left my serious question unanswered. In my second email I clearly explained there was no miscommunication whatsoever and outright false and misleading pricing which resulted in a major service instead of a very cheap repair. I will leave the judgment to the readers of this comment and seriously encourage everyone before calling this company and using their services, please do a simple research to make sure not to pay way more than you need to. Thanks ------- I found this company based on Yelp and Google reviews and many good feedbacks which looked very solid with good customer service. One of my 2-door garage doors stopped working and when I did a troubleshooting I realized the problem is a common issue with the worn out plastic gear which moves the chain. I have replaced this part once a few years ago in my previous house with the cost of 10 $ and just 30 minutes as a DIY project. I didn't have my tools so I asked for the service and clearly indicated the issue even in my online request. When the technician arrived, he examined very briefly and said the chain does not even move and I said of course because the gear is worn out and asked him to verify it. He opened the cover and acknowledged that. Then I asked how much does it cost to replace it. He brought his tablet and then quoted me a jaw dropping 480 $ish. I asked if you were sure it should not be like that and he showed me his laptop and said yeah it is here. The gear and sprocket" is around 230 $ !!! and with the labor etc it would cost me 480 (something like that). Then he said if we change the whole system (motor, chain, etc) it costs like 750-ish and that makes sense for me to pay just around 300 $ more and get a brand new everything. I was sure the price of the part should be like 10-20 $ but the way he showed his laptop and confirmed that it is like 230 $ (more than 10x I assumed), after more or less 5 minutes of discussion I decided to change the motor. Since I have 2 garage doors and the chance the gear goes bad on the other one sooner than later was high, he suggested giving me a discount and changing both. Moreover, he suggested changing all rolling wheels and in total charged me 2, 074 $. I told him that since I recently bought this house, financially I would rather just fix the gear and live with it until I have enough money to later change the whole system, but a False and misleading price quote left me with this hefty bill. Especially I have two kids at home and did not want to risk their safety. Maybe it was my fault that I accepted his unfair and wrong quote which was 10 times more than its actual price but given all the good reviews and comments I thought I should be wrong. The same day when the job was done, I googled and found the whole part was like 20-25 $ in Amazon which was compatible with my system! I wrote an email and explained what happened but instead I got just an apology and we will make sure it never happens blah blah and a refund of 294 $. I sent another email and elaborated all the conversations and numbers but again same generic apology email! A healthy company will get to the bottom of the issue and will officially answer why you leave customers in a situation by misleading them to do a major job instead of performing a very cheap repair. This project could be completed simply with the cost of part and installation <200 $. I do not recommend this dishonest service company to anyone at all and who knows maybe the good reviewers also thought they got the best deal and service without knowing what the actual repair cost  could be. Please do your research before calling them!. Best, Ed

The actual physical presence of the door, was acceptable. The door was ordered twice, both times the height of the door was wrong. This error was consumated after repeated measurements, and still worng. We waited a long time for this door, we purchased the upsell, and still the service was questionable. I cleared the garge three times, by myself, [I have a heart condition] after mark said he'd help. The service tech, was snippy, not a happy camper at all, His attitude was offsetting to say/write the least. I gave three stars on the door itself. ruben 619-888-2091

Cameron arrived on time, evaluated the situation, presented various solutions and the cost for each. He patiently answered my questions and gave me plenty of time to evaluate each of the solutions and ponder my decision. After I made my decision, Cameron proceeded to replace the belt rail, ball bearing roller, torsion springs, and garage door opener. Approximately two hours later everything was installed, and Cameron explained clearly and carefully how to use the new wall console and demonstrated the safety features of the new garage door opener. At all times, Cameron treated me with respect, patience, and professionalism. He was respectful of my property. I am very happy I called Precision Garage Door Service of San Diego!
